About Mayor Bill Mattiace

Mattiace, originally from Long Island, N.Y., was born in 1947 and has lived in Las Cruces since 1968. Mattiace has been married to wife Wanda Nicolitz Mattiace since 1970. Wanda Mattiace has been a successful businesses member of the community as owner of Adventure Travel since 1978. Wanda and Bill have three children who all live in Las Cruces: Michelle, an attorney at law, William, a senior majoring in Journalism at NMSU and Lauren a sophomore at Las Cruces High School. Mattiace attended NMSU and majored in Elementary Education before going on his own path. Mattiace has been vice-president of Adventure Travel since 1986. Mattiace served the people as a city councilor for district two from 1999-2003.
